Got asked to move from our seats in the lounge due to some party so had to stand at the bar. Refused a quick cocktail at 22:45 on way home on Sat 5th Jan. We weren't drunk and disorderly and we are locals. Obviously not good enough to drink in this establishment. Not fused about going back.
Very comfortable place. We stayed here for two nights recently while visiting the Harriot museum.Breakfast was very good.A person could get lost in here with all the different stairways but we liked the old time elegance. (Very relaxing)
A very comfortable location for lunching with old family friends. Large car park at rear, a very elegent dining room, friendly staff, great sandwiches (really meals in themselves!!). A very lovely special time was had. We were so pleased we walked in. Thank you.
Well located in centre of Thirsk, good car park at rear. Friendly and helpful staff, good food, plenty to eat and drink. Room clean and spacious in mews with easy access. Would recommend to anyone.
Originally booked into a hotel in Helmsley via Secret escapes belonging to the same hotel group.A phone call a few days before informing me it was overbooked so was offered this as an alternative with a room upgrade.We accepted the alternative and we weren't disappointed.Really lovely room, big and airy.Huge double bed and decent shower.Lovely restaurant.Great evening meal with generous Yorkshire portions.Excellent breakfast.
