Love,love,love this beautiful b&b!! Its like stepping back in time( with all the modern conveniences)!! Fabulous location, park up and walk and take the bus!! Sara and Geoff are just the nicest!! Breakfast was superb!! All local produce!! Room was enormous and everything is immaculately clean!!! Can't wait to return!! A must for anyone who wants the true Yorkshire experience!! And I even got to meet the lovely Mr and Mrs Green!! Life can't get much better. 10/10.

We were supposed to spend 2 nights at Kirkgate but moved on after the first night as the place did not live up to our expectations. Our host, Geoffrey was very hospitable and friendly but our room (no 9) needed a thorough carpet clean, the toilet wouldn't flush that evening and the shower was a trickle - so thankful we didn't need to wash our hair. We had to help each other shower by holding the hand held shower because there was hardly any pressure- just unacceptable! There was mould around the shower, in the grout and on the shower curtain too. Our room needs an overhaul and the plumbing needs immediate attention. The place itself is looking very tired and run down. Very disappointing stay and we were not offered a refund for our second night!
