Clean warm bed rooms. Friendly helpful staff. Food was nice.
Just stayed 4 nights there - bathroom was not cleaned at all during our stay, room not hoovered either. Told to put dirty towels in bath & we would be given fresh ones. Had to ask for new towel - dirty towel left in bathroom throughout our stay. Biscuits would have been nice on the tea tray. Had to walk through pall of cigarette smoke every day in the narrow hallway on the way down to breakfast. One of the rooms was being refurbished, so I guess the guy thought he could smoke in the room - not nice.
Room was clean with decent consumables, though bathroom was a bit compact and would have benefitted from being checked for paper, towels etc. There was no air con and radiator needed turning down drastically. Quite close to road for opening windows. Common areas are a bit tired and the bar was closed on the Friday night we visited, though the friendly night receptionist offered to proved drinks to the room had we wanted. Late entry could be problematic, though there's a number to ring. Buffet breakfast choice was reasonable and included cooked items. Could have been improved with fresh coffee.
This was a lovely place which we will stay at again. From the moment we got there the staff were really helpful. The service was spot on and made the whole stay much easier. The only thing that dampened it was that the water pressure out of the showers is extremely low. Would highly recommend staying here.
